KING of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan bagged the best actor award for his role on Chak De India at the Zee Cine Awards 2008 in London on Saturday night.
A slimmer and sexier Kareena Kapoor won the best actress award for her mesmerising role in Jab We Met and Amir Khan bagged two awards for his directorial debut Taare Zameen Par.
Chak De India emerged winner in the best film category. The two Khans Salman and Shah Rukh won the special Zee Icon and Zee Variety awards respectively.
The glitzy ceremony which saw some of Bollywood’s A-listers gracing the red carpet (see video and picture gallery) was held at Excel Docklands in East London and was hosted by funny-man Sajid Khan and director Karan Johar.
Also in attendance was Rekha, the famous Kapoor family, Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal, Raveena Tandon, Dimple, Fardeen Khan and Feroz Khan, Shilpa Shetty with her new man, Katrina Kaif, Upen Patel and many more.
The show observed sizzling performances by Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan, Saif Ali Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
